Togolese artist Joseph Amedokpo began painting as an adult during the modernist movement. His works, painted on flour sacks, are characterized by bright colors and bold lines depicting scene's from village life. He became one of four artists selected by the Dell Corporation whose works raised funds for the global fight against AIDS.
