Single Family Home
Arlington, Virginia
Description
Neutral wall tones became a backdrop for artwork and a frame for views of the expansive gardens in this home located on a quiet cul-de-sac outside Washington, DC. Oriental rugs, used sparingly throughout, added color and interest to the gunstock stained floors. Loomed fabrics like toile, ikat and tapestry anchored spacious rooms, while contemporary accessories kept design current.
Outside, a potting shed, custom built with reclaimed windows and doors, was fashioned from the stone foundation of a century old icehouse.
